We have designed Stand Up 101 to be the perfect launching pad for beginners or seasoned comics looking to tune up and present new or polished material. Anyone with an interest in Stand Up Comedy can benefit. From people looking to go pro to actors, teachers, performance artist or a person looking to increase the humor in the toast they are making as the Best Man. When you graduate you will have a tight 5 to 7 minute set, premium promo materials, resources & connects so you can hit the ground running.

Acting for Comedians
Acting For Comedians is an intense 5 session course in acting designed specifically for Stand Up Comedians who wish to act on stage,TV, Digital Media, Radio, Voiceover & Film. Character Development, Monologue Study, Improvisation, Research, History, Auditioning, Social Media Strategy, Meditation, Networking & Acting Out Jokes. Open to comedians of all levels. The goal of the course is to prepare participants for pro auditions & assist comedians who may have already done professional acting work by enhancing skills in dramatic arts &/or introducing them to traditional & non conventional acting techniques.

Open Mic Master Class

Stand Up 101 classes will be held weekly and will be led by Philadelphia's favorite comic TuRae, with workshops on improve & viral video creation by KeithFromUpDaBlock from Youtube, MTV, the Dr. Phil Show and Hulu.
